Sign up free to apply →As a Fleet Manager, you will assume full responsibility for safe operation of the Fleet of vessels assigned to you. Besides day-to-day close monitoring of vessels, you will be required to supervise vessel managers for dry-dockings and repairs, carry out vessel inspections, conduct technical investigations, ensure certification and documentation of vessels under your charge are up to date and meet international safety standards. You will also judiciously manage budgets allocated to vessels and verify regular vessel account reports. You will be the key person and line of communication with owners. Key Responsibilities: Vessel Management Ensure vessel compliance with company, SMS, international and local regulations. Vessel performance monitoring and technical guidance to vessel including monitoring and verification of PMS. Monitor and guide vessel managers for arranging for surveys and repairs for vessels. Communicate with vessel managers for daily operations and handling and escalate any issue of concern to higher management. Verify timely vessel inspections and submit verified reports to owners Verify timely follow up on audit reports by vessel managers. Maintenance & Compliance Oversee planned maintenance systems and ensure timely execution of major maintenance by vessel managers. Ensure compliance with international maritime safety standards (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL). Develop, implement and monitor environmental objectives, targets, and programs as per company’s environmental management system. Budget & Cost Control Finalize and manage fleet operational budgets. Monitor fuel consumption, implement cost-saving measures and new technologies in close coordination with owners. Crew & Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with crewing department for manning requirements. Act as the primary point of contact for technical and operational queries from Owners. Fulfil duties and responsibilities of designated person ashore (DPA) Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate records of fleet performance, incidents, and maintenance. Prepare monthly operational reports for senior management. Requirements Qualifications & Skills Chief Engineer COC Class 1 Minimum 10 years sailing experience Minimum 2 years DP vessel experience Minimum 8 years of shore-based experience You should be professionally sound, highly motivated & a good team player Good leadership qualities & strong commitment to safety/compliance procedures are essentially needed in our organization Preferred Previous experience in offshore fleet operations.
