BOSIET is valid for 4 years. After expiry you must complete FOET (Further Offshore Emergency Training) to renew. T-BOSIET is the tropical variant required for warmer-climate operations (West Africa, Southeast Asia, Middle East). Both are OPITO-approved qualifications recognised globally.
What is the difference between IWCF and IADC well control?↓
Both IWCF (International Well Control Forum) and IADC (International Association of Drilling Contractors) are globally recognised well control certifications. IWCF is more widely required in the North Sea, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. IADC WellCAP is more common in the Americas. Some operators accept either; check your specific operator or region's requirements.
