We are looking for a CRANE ENGINEER to join the vessel from 19th August 2026 . A handover period prior to embarking may be expected. Rotation: 6 Weeks Operational area: Currently on long term contract in Romania As part of the crew on Skandi Asserter you will play an important role in day‑to‑day operations, contributing to safe execution of work and maintaining DOF’s high operational standards. Unlocking the future, together. Requirements General requirements include: Valid certifications and qualifications in accordance with the position and vessel requirements. Proven experience within the offshore industry, particularly in roles related to vessel operations. Strong commitment to safety and compliance with applicable regulations and company procedures. Ability to work effectively in a team‑based environment and contribute positively to crew dynamics. Flexibility to work within the conditions and schedules typical of offshore operations. Good communication skills in English. Additional / vessel‑specific requirements may apply , such as: DK‑flagged vessel requirements. Marine Engineering background preferably on senior lever (CoC III/2) Full training and familiarisation can be provided including courses below:- Wire Resocketing Course G5 Theory Course G11 Banksman Slinger Course. PLC Fault Finding Course. The main responsibility of the Crane Engineer is to take ownership of the technical condition of lifting equipment, ensure crane maintenance schedule is executed and ensure competent inspections are carried out. When the Crane Engineer is not performing crane related duties onboard, the Crane Engineer shall perform duties, including engine related duties and work closely with the engine team.
