Security assessment: For this position, DOF will conduct an assessment of the applicant's security suitability, including affiliations to high-risk countries and a background check. High-risk countries are defined as those that, according to the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST), are considered to pose a threat to Norway’s national security interests. Please note that the outcome of such assessments may affect the recruitment process and the possibility of employment. According to Norwegian security authorities, candidates with affiliation to high-risk countries may pose a potential security risk because they are more vulnerable to being exploited and/or recruited by state threat actors. The assessment of affiliation to high-risk countries is carried out by asking all applicants to answer questions designed to identify any affiliation with high-risk countries. If the candidate proceeds further in the recruitment process, additional mapping questions will be sent in order to assess the degree of affiliation with the high-risk country. The affiliation assessment is based on non-discriminatory criteria and does not involve any differential treatment based on ethnicity or other protected characteristics. The assessment will focus on how closely the candidate is affiliated with the country through factors such as citizenship, family relationships, financial relationships or other affiliations. The assessment of affiliation to high-risk countries forms part of an overall assessment of the candidate’s security suitability.
