 Work location: Perth Roster: Monday - Friday - 6 month fixed term Fortescue is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor, Communications and Events to join our Communications team on a six-month fixed-term contract, supporting the delivery of Fortescue’s global conferences and events program. Working across major conferences, industry forums and strategic external engagements spanning Fortescue’s global operations, you will manage a portfolio of events and communications activities from planning through to delivery. You will work closely with senior leaders and teams across Fortescue to coordinate speaking opportunities, executive participation, sponsorships, partnerships, event communications and high-quality briefing materials. This is a busy team managing multiple priorities at pace. We are looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative and ready to take ownership, get involved and deliver high-quality work. You are an experienced communications and events professional who combines strong organisation with excellent communication and delivery skills. You are a self-starter who brings energy, enthusiasm and ownership to your work. You are comfortable managing competing priorities, solving problems and getting on with what needs to be done. You are a team player who understands that delivering a busy global program requires people to work together. You are willing to roll up your sleeves, support your colleagues and contribute across the team when priorities change.You care about quality, communicate clearly and bring a positive, practical approach to delivering great outcomes. Key Responsibilities 
 Support the delivery of Fortescue’s global conferences and events program Manage conferences, events and external engagements from planning through to delivery and evaluation Assess opportunities and develop recommendations on Fortescue’s participation in priority conferences, events and industry forums Work with senior leaders and their offices to coordinate speaking opportunities, executive participation and external engagements Develop high-quality event briefs, key messages, speaking materials and supporting communications Coordinate sponsorships and partnerships, working with organisers and internal stakeholders to maximise value and impact Work across Communications, Media, Government Relations, Investor Relations, Brand and the broader business to deliver a coordinated approach Build strong relationships with conference organisers, industry bodies, partners, suppliers and other external stakeholders Manage agencies, suppliers, budgets, timelines and logistics across assigned events Identify and manage delivery, stakeholder and reputation risks, escalating issues where required Support forward planning, reporting and evaluation across the global events calendar Work flexibly across team priorities and contribute to a cohesive, high-performing team Qualifications and Experience 
 Extensive experience across corporate events, communications, corporate affairs or a related discipline Demonstrated experience delivering complex, high-profile or international conferences and events Experience working with executives and senior stakeholders Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to develop clear and concise executive briefs and communications materials Strong planning, project management and organisational skills Experience managing sponsorships, agencies, suppliers and budgets Sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment The ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across a complex organisation A proactive, practical approach with a strong focus on quality delivery About Us
