Our Opportunity 
 Work location: Perth (Frequent site visits to Energy Operations as required). Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people. Roster: Monday to Friday We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Planner & Scheduler to lead and support a team of Maintenance Planners and Schedulers across Energy Operations to safely deliver world class availability and reliability to meet the present and future needs of our operational requirements. Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, you will ensure weekly schedules are properly scoped, planned on time and delivered and measured against Fortescue work management guidelines and metrics, with customer impacts visible to the Asset Owners prior to scheduling. The Energy Operations portfolio includes the existing power generation and network assets – thermal power stations, transmission and distribution – and, by 2028, the Pilbara green grid comes together adding 1.2GW of solar, over 600MW of wind, and 4–5GWh of battery storage, all integrated across our operations. Key Responsibilities 
 Lead, coach and develop the planning team to deliver high-quality, executable maintenance schedules in line with budget forecast. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback and demonstrate strong Values-based leadership. Maintain a regular on-site presence to support the planning team, engage with operations and maintenance teams, validate work requirements, resolve planning constraints and support effective execution of maintenance schedules. Establish, implement and maintain a consistent weekly planning rhythm across all regions, including standard draft and final planning meetings, templates, minimum planning requirements and quality checks. Define and embed clear planning accountabilities and quality standards, ensuring work scope, resources, dependencies, constraints and operational impacts are addressed so work plans are complete, execution-ready prior to scheduling. Support shutdown planning team to ensure works scope, dependencies and customer impacts are addressed before inclusion to the weekly maintenance schedule. Work with Long-Term Planning, Operations Readiness and Asset Management teams to implement and maintain maintenance strategies in SAP Ensure maintenance master data and planning processes align with the Fortescue Asset Management Standard, broader work management requirements and statutory obligations, driving consistent best-practice planning. Implement and report on key planning and work management metrics to drive improvement Work with Strategic Planning, energy modelling, power systems and integrated planning teams to develop efficient dispatch plans and accurate run-hour forecasts for quarterly and annual maintenance planning Support development of operating expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets and funding submissions, including account reconciliation and input into maintenance budgeting requirements Qualifications and Experience 
 Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Senior Maintenance Planner role or 5 years’ experience in a Maintenance Planning role Strong understanding of work management principles, maintenance scheduling and planning Advanced SAP skills and computer literacy Experience in budgeting, cost control and budget forecasting (desirable) Experience aligning multi-counter plans and integrated energy dispatch models to support accurate maintenance scheduling and forecasting Sound knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act/Regulations Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills Demonstrated Values-based leadership and people engagement skills Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a large-scale, fast-paced environment Maintenance Management qualifications are highly regarded About Us
