Embarkation Date: 24 Sep 2026 Contract Duration: 2 months +/- 1 Vessel: Azamara Journey Requirements: Valid Schengen Visa is mandatory. Valid U.S. C1/D Visa is mandatory. Proven professional experience in vinyl flooring installation , including preparation, fitting, cutting, and finishing. Previous hands-on experience with flooring, vinyl installation, tiling, grouting, and other related interior finishing works . Experience with the maintenance, repair, and preservation of vessel interiors , including upholstery, carpets, wallpapers, furniture, and other related interior elements. Previous cruise ship experience is strongly preferred. High level of spoken and written English , with the ability to clearly understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues. Candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as within a multicultural team . Position Summary Responsible for performing specialised duties to install, repair and maintain fixtures, fittings, furnishings and equipment inside guest and crew accommodations in accordance with Company Policies, any National or International standards and any other prescribed regulations. Participating in the preparation of the vessel for arrival and departure. Assisting and supporting the Deck department in every respect according to the Master’s or Staff Captain’s instructions. Reporting Structure Reporting to the Staff Captain. Safety Duties: Participates in crew and passenger safety drills according to instructions. Always complies with the Company’s safety and pollution prevention regulations and operating procedures. Leads by example by taking care of Health and Safety of self and others. Ensures that all work equipment, personal protective equipment, chemicals and safety devices are being used correctly. Education/Experience/Qualifications: Valid STCW95 certification. Appropriate certification as required by regulations. Good understanding of carpentry, woodwork, maintenance and repair. Extensive experience in subordinate positions and on board passenger ships in a similar role. Physically and medically fit. Moral integrity is required. Coast Guard, Port State Control and Public Health experience. Language requirements: Fluent English (verbal, written and technical). English is the working and safety language on board. This also includes the ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written forms and to effectively and efficiently engage with guests and crew members. Additional languages are considered beneficial. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Required to stand, walk long distances, reaching and sitting. Repetitive motion of bending, going up and down stairs, climbing ladders. Lifting or pushing of up to 50lbs. The position requires overtime work and irregular schedules. Works in all areas of the vessel with light traffic and distracting environments. Profile: Punctual. Proactive approach to problem solving. Ability to be flexible, well organized, self managed and motivated. Handle multiple demands, remain calm and effective under pressure and resolve issues quickly. Effective, full, clear and concise communications is essential. Safe, professional and personal practices. Ability to work in confined spaces. Ability to live in close quarters, share limited space with cabin mates. Well groomed and neat appearance. Ability to deliver a high standard of performance. Status - Rating.
